Necessity IS the mother of invention. People have been saying this quote forever. If you really think about it this is how everything has been created. The cave people used rocks to hunt for food or fight with each other. And when Native Americans lived off the land they used sharpened rocks (arrow heads) to hunt and kill. And they learned to use all parts of the animals they killed. The skins became teepees and moccasins and clothing. The bones were used as tools. The meat was for eating of course. You get the picture.
When people started getting civilized they built houses instead of living in caves. People used to wash clothes on big boulders in the river. Then someone created a wash tub and wash board. Then someone figured out how to create a washing machine. You see it just keeps getting better and better.
Now let’s look at what’s going on today. We are on lock down and it might seem like a bad thing, but it really is just a thing. Not good or bad, just a thing. And if you understand the law of attraction you can see that this is something we have all been asking for world wide. Think about it. Look at what has been happening since this lock down has started. For example the air quality is already better. And the water is cleaner. Traffic is very light and people are working from home and going to school on line. Gas prices are the lowest they have been in years too. We’re having more family time and I have noticed a lot more people taking walks which is something that I haven’t seen in a long time. People are also getting very creative with parties on zoom and playing fun made up games on Facebook. I have been crocheting a lot. I have made several blankets already and they are actually turning out very beautiful. I have been giving them away to friends and family and I know they appreciate them.
Another saying that has been around for a long time is “Ask and it is given”. And like I say all the time, the Universe or God or whomever you believe in is always answering us. Only this time it is on a global scale. And if you can put yourself in a state of non-resistance, which means don’t worry or fret or fear anything that is happening around you, you and I will see the good results that are being created because of this thing. Relax and let your mind see things the way you want them to be. Who knows, you may be the creator of the next thing that will change the world. It could happen. But it won’t happen if you are in a state of resistance.
So how do you relax in a state of crisis? Well one way is to meditate every day. Morning is the best time for meditation because it sets the mood of the day. You might feel like you’re not good at it at first but with practice you will feel the benefits and the clarity that will come out of this. There are a lot of guided meditations on the internet too. My favorite is Abraham Hicks but you can find ones that feel right for you. Bob Proctor is also another person who has a lot of guided meditations.
Another way to trade resistance for ease is to feel love and appreciation for everyone and everything. When you are complaining or hating in anyway or toward any person, especially toward yourself, you are only hurting yourself. Any kind of doubt or hate or judgement will only cause angst in your body. That is where sickness comes from. Your emotions are your indicators of how your life is unfolding. When you stay in a good mood you will see your life as joyful and fun. But when you are in a bad mood or depressed or any kind of negative state you feel weak and defenseless.
Up until now you have had certain beliefs. Some are helpful and some are not. And beliefs are only thoughts that you keep thinking and they stay active as long as you keep believing those ideas. But do you know that you have the right to change your beliefs? And the way to do that is to focus on what you want in your life. And every time the thoughts that come that are in contradiction to what you are wanting to change to, stop and say, I don’t need to think about this now and change your thought to what you do want. This takes practice so don’t beat yourself up when you think the thoughts you’ve been thinking for a long time. That is also the law of attraction. You have had a momentum of the old thoughts for a long time and it will take a while to get the momentum going in the other direction of the new thoughts. It would be like asking a train going 100 miles per hour to stop on a dime and go in the other direction. That would be very hard on the train. So you need to give yourself time to get your momentum going in the new direction. The more you relax, or meditate, the easier it will get. You will always get what you expect, so why not expect good things to come. You get what you focus on whether you want it or not. It’s the law. That’s where that saying comes from, “Be careful what you wish for, it might come true”. I like to say that a little differently. “Be careful what you focus on or wish for because you will attract it to you”. So if that’s true wouldn’t it be beneficial to focus on what you do want and just leave the rest out? Just never talk about what is bad or unwanted. Just think about what you do want. Talk about what you do want. Daydream and tell the story of your life that makes you feel good. Leave out the past and don’t go too far into the future, unless it feels good to think about it. Feeling bad or hate or anger is just a waste of time. Pay attention to now because now is all we have. I feel that it is a much better use of my time and energy to see this thing as an opportunity to grow and find new ways of doing everything. I’m studying and learning and keeping myself in the best mood possible. You can go on the internet and look up people who have prospered during past times of what seemed to be bad. You will see that it is possible for you to prosper too. It may seem too simple to think that you can change your life just by changing your attitude, but it is. Stop making it so hard because it is all in you right now. You just have to give yourself permission to live the life you want and deserve. We all deserve it. No matter who you are and what you’ve done you are a worthy being. But it’s up to you to know that, and more importantly to feel that. Like I always say, it starts on the inside. You can’t worry about what anybody else thinks about you. It’s none of your business. They are just the peanut gallery. They don’t matter, no matter who they are. Only you know what’s good for you.
So now you know that we are all good and that life is exactly the way it is supposed to be. And you can be do and have whatever you want no matter what else is going on. Now go be your best and authentic self. The world will prosper because of your joy.
